COMMUNITY TRANSPORT SCHEMES AVAILABLE IN FENLAND
– including by parish – which has been recently updated. You can see the updates on www.cambridgeshire.gov.uk/communitytransport, and this document can also be downloaded from this webpage as a PDF document. These schemes are aimed at those who have difficulty using or accessing public transport, for a variety of reasons including mobility issues, for medical or social journey purposes. Each scheme operates uniquely, as per the main requirements for transport of the settlement(s) they serve – with the number of volunteer drivers available – therefore please refer to each scheme for your area respectively for more information on what they can offer.
There is a need for more volunteers to come forward to (a) to enable them to continue to meet current demand for transport requests, and (b) to meet future need. The latter is particularly important as the population and demographic of Cambridgeshire is projected to expand and as individuals live longer.
If you have any queries, please contact Gavin Moulton, Community Transport Officer at Cambridgeshire County Council, on 01223 715606 or e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org.
