Doddington Parish Council

Doddington is a beautiful village in Fenland, close to the Town of March in Cambridgeshire.

This website is for the community of Doddington to find out information about upcoming plans and general points of interest within the village.

It also aims to keep people updated with the ongoing efforts of the Parish Council.

The Parish Council meet every second Wednesday of the month from 7pm in the Church rooms .  Parishioners are welcome to come along to meetings where the first 15 minutes are a dedicated open forum.

  1. Dear Sir/Madam

A friend is pursuing her family history and I am assisting her research into:

    • William Bonfield Amos Dunham, born around 1783, died at the age of 64 years on 28 January 1847 at Doddington, Cambridgeshire. He was listed in the census as a Constable in the village of Doddington but this would pre-date the formation of the Police Service.

I noted on the Doddington Parish Council website the history compiled by A Edwards and wondered if he/she might be able to assist and whether you could forward my request to him/her. I have also noted the Past and Present Photos and similarly I have separately enquired of Andrea whether any reference to Mr Dunham may exist.

Should you be able to help I would be delighted to hear from you. Conversely, should I unearth information relating to him I will let you know.

    With best wishes.
